The Industry Leader in On-Site Repair and Restoration Opens Business in Oahu
October 26, 2022 // FranchiseMarketingSolutions.com // Oahu, HI – Creative Colors International officially launched its newest franchise in Hawaii on October 24th. CCI of Oahu is operated by island-native Greg Yamamoto.
Creative Colors International is a leather repair, the mobile repair, reconditioning, protection and color restoration of leather, vinyl, fabric, plastic and carpeting in the automotive, furniture, commercial and residential markets.
Yamamoto joins the CCI family after spending much of his career in sales, distribution and customer service. However, auto detailing has been a hobby for him for nearly 30 years. Yamamoto has always taken pride in helping friends and family with their auto improvements. When the opportunity to turn to his passion into a business presented itself, he was elated to make the dream a reality.
“This is a first for me,” Yamamoto pointed out, “before if I had worked for somebody, I’d be a field sales guy. Or when I did my detailing it was always by myself. For me to transition to owning my own business like this and to get to the point where I can oversee employees, that’s kind of exciting! And being that it’s a business I’m familiar with, this step isn’t scary.”
Statistics suggest that repairing and restoring, as opposed to upholstering and replacing, can save local business owners and residents hundreds of dollars on any damaged item. For example, the costs associated with upholstering any type of seat can be very steep, ranging anywhere from $120 to $450 per cushion.
According to Creative Colors International Senior Vice President, Terri Sniegolski, the commitment shared by all franchisees to help customers save money, and deliver on the company’s “We Can Fix That” philosophy, has been the key catalyst for the company’s expansion since its initial inception in 1980.
“Believe it or not, Greg is the first CCI franchisee who has extensive detailing experience in his past,” confessed Sniegolski. “When you combine his skill and background in sales and customer service, along with the respect he has from others in his community and desire to help people, we’re thrilled and looking forward to helping Greg grow his business.”
“The trust factor [in Hawaii] is huge,” admitted Yamamoto. “In my sense in bringing on somebody that I know, I can rely on the fact that they’ll be up front and transparent. If they’re going to be willing to come on and work with me, I can be confident they’ll do a good job.”
Serving the automotive, commercial and furniture industries, Creative Colors International offers affordable solutions for tears, holes, scuffs, scratches and other damage found on leather, vinyl, plastic or fabric, through on-site repair, restoration, cleaning, dyeing and protection. For local residents, this means Creative Colors International can repair auto interiors, leather furniture, RV flooring and boat vinyl, among other things. Additionally, for business owners, Creative Colors International can repair any upholstery found in critical locations around the company, such as waiting rooms, examination rooms, restaurant booths, hotel rooms and theater seating, among others.
