January 29, 2024 // FranchiseMarketingSolutions.com // Tempe, Ariz. – SYNERGY HomeCare has announced its first franchise in northwestern Ohio, SYNERGY HomeCare of Maumee.
The company is led by state-trained nursing aide and successful business owner Christy Glowacki, and veteran supply chain leader and materials manager Todd Leonard. Together, the two will combine their professional knowledge as well as their deep-rooted local ties to create a support system for their community.
Headquartered at 1715 Indian Wood Circle, Suite 200 in Maumee, only roughly 20 minutes outside of Toledo, the company will assist residents living in the city’s metropolitan area, including the towns of Maumee, Sylvania, Perrysburg, Holland, Rossford, Waterville, Whitehouse and Monclova with a wide variety of non-medical care options, from companion care to personal care and respite care.
As long-time residents of northwestern Ohio, Christy and Todd recognized a need in nearby communities for these services, particularly among Baby Boomers.
Before opening SYNERGY HomeCare of Maumee, Christy was already comfortable acting as her own boss. She founded an independent cleaning service eight years ago, which she still manages today. In addition to her business ownership ventures, Christy is also a state-trained nursing aide (STNA), which is how she became familiar with providing care to loved ones in her community.
“I have a genuine passion for assisting others, but I also love being able to directly impact the success of my own company,” said Christy. “With both of these passions in mind, I knew that homecare offered the best of both worlds. I can continue to fuel my entrepreneurial spirit, but more importantly, I can do so while running a company that genuinely helps people every day.”
Todd is no stranger to working in managerial roles either. For the past 18 years, he’s been a supply chain manager in the automotive and packaging industry. He’s responsible for not only managing many employees but also overseeing the production and delivery of millions of pieces of product. He takes great pride in his attention to detail and now wants to use his meticulous work ethic to make a tangible difference within his community.
“Christy and I give 100% to whatever task is at hand,” said Todd. “We’ve both experienced success in our careers thanks to this commitment to excellence, however, the time we’ve both spent as caregivers for our families is where we felt the most fulfillment. It’s a privilege to be able to make someone else’s life better, and that’s something we want to achieve on as large of a scale as possible.”
Many of Toledo’s older residents rely on caregivers for assistance with cooking, shopping, running errands, doing light housekeeping, or going for walks. Some even require personal care, such as help with bathing, dressing or using the toilet. Christy, Todd, and their team of caregiving professionals will help fill this void and ensure that the surrounding communities can age as comfortably as possible from the safety of their own homes.
SYNERGY HomeCare offers competitive hourly rates in addition to flexible shifts perfect for both college students or recent graduates as well as people who are retired and looking to stay active.
