March 21, 2024 // FranchiseMarketingSolutions.com // SOMERVILLE, N.J. – During this Women’s History Month, A Place At Home is celebrating some of their female franchisees who are doing amazing things in their communities.
This includes A Place At Home – Somerville’s Jessica Dale whose firsthand experiences of caring for a loved one led her to open her own senior care franchise.
Dale has walked in the shoes of the families she now serves. Her mother, one of the strongest women Dale says she knows, has battled breast cancer and undergone a liver transplant. Eventually, Dale moved her mother in with her. But while coordinating her care and raising toddlers, Dale knew more was needed for those going through similar situations. Then, recognizing her love of helping others while working for a local non-profit, Dale decided she wanted to open her own business that positively impacted the community.
“Transitioning to owning an in-home senior care business has allowed me to align my new career path with my passion for helping others. I would do it all over again,” said Dale. “It brings me joy to provide compassionate care to seniors and peace of mind to their families.”
Not only does Dale deliver a much-needed service to the seniors in her community, but she also provides solid job opportunities to those with a calling to care. Since opening in May 2022 with her business partner, Judy Mazon, Dale’s roster of caregivers has grown to more than 300. While impressive, Dale stresses quality over quantity, which is why she plans to open an educational arm of her home care business to offer training and continuing education for caregivers to hone their skills.
“Our mission is to elevate the standard of senior care in our community. By investing in the training and development of our caregivers, we’re not just improving the quality of care; we’re building a legacy of compassion and excellence,” said Dale.
A Place At Home – Somerville provides in-home care, care coordination, senior living alternatives, and staffing solutions. Dale looks forward to growing into the surrounding counties and continuing to provide exceptional care for years to come.
“Jessica embodies the entrepreneurial spirit and compassion that are at the heart of A Place At Home,” said Jerod Evanich, president and co-founder of A Place At Home. “Her dedication to her clients, caregivers, and community sets a remarkable example for all our franchisees. We’re proud to have her as part of our franchise family.”
